Cattle Raiders Leave Two Dead In Bor

(BOR, JONGLEI) – More than 140 heads of cattle have been stolen yesterday in a cattle camp in Pariak, Bor leaving two people dead. The raiders killed the owners as they fought back to protect their animals. Bor county commissioner, Isaac Mamer Ruuk said the state government has met with officials from the neighboring Pibor to try and track down the criminals.

He told Radio Miraya, “the raiders suspected to be youth from Murle, attacked one of the cattle camp they killed two people on our side and went away with 145 heads of cattle I managed to contact honourable David Yau Yau about the incident, he responded positively and I really appreciate his solidarity and cooperation. His intention is to apprehend those who are coming here, well enough our youth and organized forces manage to follow the raiders until they return the cattle back to the cattle camp.”
